3.3 System Characteristics Description
3.3.1 Design Standards
The equipment strictly adheres to the European CE standard EN13155:2003, designed based on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standard B30-20-2006 and the German standard UVV18, with a primary design index higher than the mentioned standards.
(1) Safety factor: Main design greater than 2.0. The calculated vacuum system pressure is 60%. The maximum achievable actual pressure is 85% vacuum. The pressure setting on one side is 40% vacuum.

3.3.2. Suction Force Calculation

Each suction pad has a maximum theoretical suction force in the horizontal direction = Effective surface (Theoretical area * Coefficient) * Calculated pressure (0.6 bar) = (0.115*0.115*3.14)*0.6*10000 = 249N, approximately 249Kgf.
According to the double safety factor, the actual allowable suction for each pad is 249/2 = 124Kgf, with 6 pads the total suction force is 700Kgf.
Note: The maintenance force mentioned above is calculated at 60% vacuum pressure, the system’s maximum vacuum reaches up to 85% under normal working conditions.

The vacuum pump with an air-cooled impeller does not use oil, connects to a 220V, 3-phase power source, and can create a vacuum. This is the core component of the vacuum system, with a maximum vacuum level of 85%.
- Vacuum suction pad
Suctions the workpiece surface, with rubber contacting the workpiece to ensure no damage to the workpiece surface.
- Vacuum filter
Removes dust and suspended objects from the air, ensuring the longevity of the vacuum pump.
- Vacuum gauge
Displays the vacuum level for the operator, ensuring safety.
- Vacuum pressure switch
A diaphragm pump, when the vacuum pressure is insufficient, the switch will send an electrical signal to the warning system.

3.6 Operating instructions for the vacuum lifter
3.6.1 Plate suction position
Control the crane to move the vacuum lifter above the metal plate and close to the top surface.
3.6.2 Suck the plate
Push the manual control valve slide forward, the suction pads will automatically suck the plate. When the vacuum level reaches the requirement, the green light will turn on, and the alarm bell will stop ringing, indicating the lift is ready.
3.6.3 Move the plate
Control the crane to move the plate to the desired position.
3.6.4 Release the plate
Press the safety button on the manual control valve slide, pull the push-pull valve back, and the plate will be released.
3.6.5 Control the corresponding suction pad
When the plate length is shorter than the distance between the outermost suction pads of the two clusters, turn off the manual control ball valve on each suction pad, isolating it from the vacuum system’s air flow to prevent vacuum leakage.
