Các nhân tố ảnh hưởng đến công nghệ hàn MIG – MAG.
Hai nhân tố quan trọng tác động lớn đến quá trình và chất lượng hàn Mig – Mag là khí bảo vệ và dây hàn.
Khí bảo vệ
Tổng quan
Yêu cầu chung , định danh phân nhóm khí bảo vệ đã được đề cập ở phần 1. Phần này sẽ khảo sát chi tiết hơn về ảnh hưởng của khí bảo vệ đối với hàn MIG – MAG và đưa ra các thông tin cần thiết để chọn lựa thành phần khí bảo vệ phù hợp.

Khí bảo vệ có các vai trò sau trong hàn MIG – MAG.

Ổn định hồ quang

Tác động đến phương thức chuyển dịch kim loại trong hồ quang MIG – MAG

Thay đổi độ ngấu và biên dạng tiết diện hàn

Tác động mạnh đến tốc độ hàn

Tăng hoặc giảm xu thế cháy biên (undercut)

Đặc điểm của — Argon và Helium
Argon và helium đều là khí trơ, song chúng có đặc điểm hàn rất khác nhau do các đặc trưng sau.Mật độ (khối lượng riêng),Độ dẫn nhiệt, đặc trưng hồ quang (nhiệt độ, thế ion hóa, độ dẫn điện). Argon nặng hơn không khí cở 1.4 lần trong khi helium rất nhẹ (0.14 % so với không khí) nên hiệu quả bảo vệ của argon tốt hơn , lưu lượng cần thiết ít hơn. Luợng helium dùng cho bảo vệ thường cao gấp 2 hoặc 3 lần so với khí argon.Helium dẫn nhiệt tốt hơn argon và plasma hồ quang có năng lượng phân tán đồng đều và trải rộng hơn argon.Plasma hồ quang argon có năng lượng nhiệt tập trung ở phần lõi phần bao ngoài nhiệt độ thấp nên tiết diện mối hàn bảo vệ bằng argon có dạng “núm vú” ăn sâu vào bề mặt chi tiết hàn.

Plasma hồ quang helium có mật độ phân bố nhiệt tương đối đều nên tiết diện có dạng nữa ellip, bán nguyệt ngấu cạn hơn vào bề mặt chi tiết hàn.

Ổn định hồ quang tốt, mối hàn sạch không nhiểm tạp khí. Cần bảo vệ mặt lưng (backing) và mối hàn (trailer) bằng khí trơ.

Ở bất cứ cường độ nào thì hồ quang argon vẫn có điện áp thấp hơn so với hồ quang helium; kết quả là hồ quang argon có độ nhạy kém hơn nên chạy ổn định hơn.

Khí argon cho chuyển dịch phun với cở giọt cầu nhỏ và đều hơn khí helium , do vậy khi hàn với helium nguy cơ văng tóe cao hơn.

Khí argon cho mối hàn đẹp biên dạng đều, khí helium cho mối hàn rộng biên dạng không đều. Khí argon có hiệu ứng tẩy sạch cao hơn khí helium.

Khí trộn Argon và Helium

Khí argon 100% là chọn lựa được ưa thích khi hàn trên kim loại , hợp kim màu do khí helium có giá thành tương đối cao và khó kiếm. Khí helium 100% rất ít sử dụng. Việc trộn helium vào argon với một tì lệ nhất định là giải pháp tích cực để cải thiện năng lượng hàn và tiết diện mối hàn. Khi hàn MIG trên chi tiết dây sử dụng hổn hợp Argon – Helium sẽ có hiệu quả hàn cao hơn.

Để có chuyển dịch ngắn mạch khi hàn MIG thì tỉ lệ helium trộn vào khí argon phải ở mức rất cao (60 – 90%) nên khả năng này không thực tế.

Khi hàn MIG – MAG trên thép và thép hợp kim, việc thay một phần CO2 bằng helium vừa làm tăng tính hàn vừa hạn chế tổn thất về mặt cơ tính do helium có tác động giống CO2 song không tham gia phản ứng với vũng chảy.

Khí trộn Argon/helium với Oxy và CO2

Argon và helium được dùng trong phương pháp hàn MIG , thích hợp với hầu hết các ứng dụng trên hợp kim màu. Tuy nhiên, khi hàn trên thép, khí helium làm tăng lượng văng tóe , trong khi khí argon làm cho tình trạng cháy biên mối hàn rất nghiêm trọng. Để khắc phục cần thêm vào argon 1 đến 5% Oxy hoặc 3 đến 10% CO2 . Khi đó tính “trơ” của khí bảo vệ vẫn không mất và quá trình hàn được cải thiện rất nhiều. Lượng CO2 thêm vào có thể đến 25%. Và mục đích lúc này là cải thiện tiết diện hàn sao cho nó có dạng parabol làm cho quá trình hình thành mối hàn có nhiều yếu tố thuận lợi hơn; ví dụ như thoát khí , tản nhiệt tốt hơn, biến dạng nhiệt, ứng suất dư ít hơn.

Câu hỏi đặt ra là liệu có một tỉ lệ tối ưu nào đó về luợng Oxy hoặc CO2 thêm vào argon để tăng cường tính hàn. Cac khảo sát cho thấy, tùy thuộc vào thành phần thép, tình trạng oxýt bề mặt (mill scale), kiểu mối nối và tư thế hàn mà lượng yêu cầu các khí oxy hóa nhiều hay ít. Thông thường , không quá 3% oxy hoặc 9% CO2.

CO2 – Hàn MAG

Khí CO2 được gọi là khí hoạt hóa và khi hàn thép với khí bảo vệ giàu CO2 các phản ứng oxy – hóa khữ với vũng chảy hàn diễn ra rất mạnh. Các phản ứng này làm tăng độ ngấu, tăng tốc độ và đặc biệt giảm giá thành hàn vì khí CO2 có nguồn cung cấp dồi dào, giá thành hạ. Phương pháp GMAW dùng khí bảo vệ 100% CO2 hoặc chứa hơn 20% CO2 được gọi là phương pháp hàn MAG. Phương pháp dùng 100% CO2 gọi là phương pháp hàn CO2. 

Với khí bảo vệ 100% CO2, chỉ tồn tại kiểu chuyển dịch ngắn mạch và chuyển dịch cầu. Trong khi khí bảo vệ 100% Argon chỉ có chuyển dịch cầu và chuyển dịch phun. Do vậy có thể nói, chuyển dịch ngắn mạch là đặc trưng của khí bảo vệ có tính oxy hóa cao còn chuyển dịch phun là đặc trưng của khí trơ.

Nhìn chung thì so sánh với khí bảo vệ giàu argon, các khí có tính oxy hóa cao cho mối hàn có độ ngấu tốt hơn song bề mặt thô hơn. Mối hàn sít chặt, ít rỗ khí song độ dẽo dai không cao khi kim loại hàn bị oxýt hóa mạnh.

  75% Ar + 25%CO2  Áp dụng cho bề dày lớn hơn 3mm, giảm văng tóe , mối hàn sạch đẹp, vũng chảy dễ kiểm soát thích hợp với các tư thế hàn nghịch. Độ ngấu sâu và tốc độ hàn cao.
 

Thép inox

  90%He + 7.5%Ar + 2.5% CO2 (MIG)  Không làm tổn thất tính chống ăn mòn của mối hàn, vùng ảnh hưởng nhiệt hẹp. Loại trừ cháy biên và tối thiểu biến dạng hàn.
 

 

Thép HSLA

  60-70%He+25-35%Ar+4-5%

CO2 (MIG)

  Giảm oxýt hóa song vẩn bảo đảm các đặc tính hàn, cho độ dai tốt nhất. Ổn định hồ quang và độ bám dính tốt. Mối hàn có tiết diện tối ưu , văng tóe tối thiểu.
 75% Ar + 25% CO2  Độ dai tương đối cao, ổn định hồ quang, độ bám dính tốt . Tiết diện hàn đẹp và ít văng tóe.
 Nhôm, hợp              kim nhôm          ,maggiê,đồng Nickel  Argon

Hoặc argon + helium (MIG)

   Argon  thich  hợp  với  bề  dày  mỏng,  Argon  + helium đối với bề dày dày.

Tổng quan

Chọn dây hàn cho ứng dụng cần bảo đảm :

Mối hàn tính cơ lý phù hợp với kim loại cơ bản.Mối hàn chắc, đẹp ít nguy cơ khuyết tật.Do hàn MIG – MAG là quá trình hàn bảo vệ bằng khí , nên th|nh phần hợp kim của dây hàn có vai trò quan trọng đối với quá trình luyện kim khi hình thành mối hàn và tính chất cơ lý mối hàn khi sử dụng.Ngay cả khi dùng dây đắp có thành phần giống hệt kim loại chi tiết , thì trải qua quá trình luyện kim hàn, chưa chắc các cấu trúc kim loại trong mối hàn đáp ứng được các tính chất cơ lý mà mối hàn cần phải có.

Khi chọn dây hàn cần quan tâm

Th|nh phần hoá học của dây hàn có bảo đảm tính hàn tốt nhất. Đặc biệt có các nguyên tố hạn chế nứt nóng, mịn hạt, tăng tốc độ ăn tôi… để bảo đảm cơ tính mối hàn bằng hoặc tốt hơn kim loại chi tiết.Dây hàn được chọn bảo đảm hạn chế tối đa các nguy cơ gây ra khuyết tật hàn và có các thông số công nghệ như tốc độ chảy, năng suất đắp phù hợp với ứng dụng.

Thành phần hóa học

Dây hàn được phân cấp chất lượng dựa trên các chỉ tiêu sau :

Thành phần hóa học,Độ bền kéo,Độ dẽo,Độ dai…Dây hàn cần bảo đảm các tính chất ổn định hồ quang (độ dẫn điện ít thay đổi khi nhiệt độ tăng, điện trở tiếp xúc với ống tiếp điện tốt), các đặc điểm chuyển dịch (tạp chất bay hơi, sức căng bề mặt giọt kim loại nóng chảy) và quá trình kết tinh mối hàn (các nguyên tố làm mịn hạt, các nguyên tố ngăn chặn hình thành các cấu trúc pha bất lợi, giảm độ ăn tôi…). Ngoài ra các nguyên tố khữ oxýt, lưu huỳnh (manggan, silic) các nguyên tố khữ nitride (titan, ziconium) cũng ở mức phù hợp.Các nguyên tố khữ oxýt trong dây hàn thép : (manggan, silic, nhôm). Trong dây hàn hợp kim đồng (titan, phospho) , trong dây nickel (titan, silic)…Hợp lý nhất là dựa trên các tài liệu hướng dẫn của nhà cung cấp để chọn dây hàn thích hợp , sau đó thực nghiệm qui trình và đo các chỉ tiêu để xác nhận tính phù hợp.

Hình thức

Về mặt hình thức , dây hàn được đánh thành cuộn có các cỡ trọng lượng và đường kính khác nhau. Dây được phủ một lớp đồng hoặc nickel để chóng gỉ sét. Các hãng khác nhau có thể có bề dày lớp mạ, dung sai đường kính dây, độ chống uốn của dây khác nhau. Các khác biệt này tuy nhỏ rất khó phân biệt song sẽ ảnh hưởng lớn đến chất lượng quá trình hàn.
